Hockey is a sport played on ice, and it is a MUST for a hockey player to be able to skate well. The game in today's NHL consists of lightning fast skaters. Skating is also one of hockey's basic skills that sets the foundation for a player's future development. Great skaters will have more speed, mobility, balance and agility while playing hockey.
